- Sundays for singles hiking, 10 a.m.-noon July 1. For those over 18 who love nature. Bring bag lunch. $3 members, $5 non-members.
- Wednesday walk, 10 a.m.-noon July 11. Casual walk explores natural history on easy to moderate trails. $3 members, $5 non-members.
- Digital photography, July 13-15. Photographer and adventure tour leader Kevin Loughlin teaches simple techniques. Lodging: $175 members, $190 non-members; non-lodging, $115 members, $130 non-members.
- Orienteering and geocaching women’s educational class, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. July 14. Includes lunch. $30 members, $35 non-members.
- Golf outing at Great Bear, July 16. $115 per golfer.
- Butterflies and other arthropods, noon-4 p.m. July 21. Indoor introductory slide program, outdoor walks into meadows in search of butterflies and insects on summer wildflowers. Includes lunch with Naturalist John Serrao. $45 members, $50 non-members.
- Starry night canoe, 8-10 p.m. July 21. Canoe across PEEC’s pond. Brief instruction and astronomy lesson included. $8 members, $10 non-members.
- Frog hunts, 1-4 p.m. July 1 and 8-10:30 p.m. July 23. Focuses on learning about amphibians and having muddy blast trying to catch them carefully. Bring flashlight and net for July 23 hunt. $3 members, $5 non-members.
- Insect insanity, 1-3 p.m. July 25. Explore butterfly garden and be amazed by diversity and survival adaptations of insects. $3 members, $5 non-members.

Grey Towers National Historic Site, Milford, Pa. Call 570-296-9630 or visit www.fs.fed.us/na/gt. Tours given daily on the hour, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. through Oct. 28 and 1 and 3 p.m. weekends. Regular tour fees apply. Grounds are free and open to pedestrians from dawn to dusk daily. Event schedule:
- Pinchot’s Milford walking tour, 1 p.m. July 7. Join us as we point out the many contributions this family made to community before they built Grey Towers.
- Come Paint with me, 10 a.m. July 12. Landscape painting 10-year birthday Celebration. Morning lecture by program founder Joan Polishook, guest speakers, refreshments. Followed by landscape painting session. Free. Call 570-775-6898.
- Words and Music of our Environment, 1 p.m. July 15. Readings and music by regional authors and musicians. Free.
- Forestry history hike, 1 p.m. July 21. Gain appreciation for today’s forest management challenges with hands-on intro to history of forestry at Yale Forestry Campsite. Pre-registration required.
- Come paint with me, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. July 26. Landscape painting program. Free. Come paint with me KIDS, 9 a.m.- noon, instructional program on impressionist painters, painting and drawing on site. Pre-registration required. Free. Call 570-775-6898.
- Evolution of the Grey Towers Landscape: Summertime in Cornelia’s Gardens, 1 p.m. July 28. Regular tour fees apply.

Pike County Art Show, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. July 11-22, Milford Borough Hall, Milford, Pa. Amateur and professional local artists exhibit work.
